PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A woman accused of a fatal 2020 shooting in Houston has been arrested in Pflugerville and is awaiting extradition to face murder charges.

According to the Houston Police Department, Ceira Bluford was identified as the prime suspect in the October 2020 shooting death of 26-year-old Tony Williams. She was arrested this past Saturday in Travis County, after a murder charge was formally filed against her on January 22, 2025.

Police say the incident occurred at Williams’ apartment on Grisby Road in west Houston. On October 5, 2020, officers were dispatched to the apartment after a friend, who had not heard from Williams since October 3, discovered him unresponsive. Authorities say Williams died from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The nature of the relationship between Bluford and Williams has not yet been disclosed. Authorities have confirmed that extradition proceedings are now in motion to bring Bluford back to Houston to face prosecution.
