ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Authorities are still searching for a Baton Rouge man accused of working with his girlfriend to commit a string of retail thefts across several Louisiana parishes.

Catherine Binder, 37, of Denham Springs, and Thederick Turner, 35, of Baton Rouge, are linked to a series of thefts, including stolen jewelry and an electric scooter from Walmart in Prairieville, as well as other retail incidents in Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes.

The investigation began on April 4, when deputies responded to an active theft at Lowe’s in Gonzales. Binder was found waiting in a vehicle outside while Turner was inside the store. Officials say Turner attempted to steal a generator but fled the scene upon noticing law enforcement.

Five counts of felony theft

Possession of a legend drug

Additional undisclosed offenses

Meanwhile, Thederick Turner remains at large, and detectives are continuing the search.
