Carlos Lashun Myers Arrested for 2022 Motel Theft in Arkansas

Mississippi Man Extradited for Burglary, Theft Charges

Mountain Home, AR – A Mississippi man has been arrested in connection with a 2022 theft at a Mountain Home motel. Carlos Lashun Myers, 26, of Hattiesburg, was taken into custody in Jackson County, Missouri, and later extradited to Arkansas on multiple charges.

The incident occurred on March 10, 2022, when Myers allegedly gained access to the wrong motel room by misleading the front desk clerk about a faulty key. Surveillance footage showed him entering the victim’s room and leaving with items hidden under a bed sheet. The stolen property included a rifle and a laptop, valued at $1,230.

Myers was arrested in Kansas City on March 16, 2025, for domestic assault and destruction of property. After his arrest, authorities discovered an outstanding warrant in Baxter County, Arkansas, leading to his extradition.

He now faces:

Felony residential burglary

Felony theft of property

Misdemeanor theft of property

Myers is currently being held at the Baxter County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
