Generators Stolen; Denham Springs Man Faces Felony Charge

by Sophia Bennett

WALKER, La. – A Denham Springs man is facing a felony theft charge after authorities say he stole multiple generators from a hardware store in Walker.

Carlee Gerald, 61, was arrested Tuesday by the Walker Police Department. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center and is being held on a $10,000 bond.

The investigation began earlier in April, when police responded to reports of a theft at a local hardware store. Witnesses and surveillance footage later helped identify Gerald as the suspect. Authorities say he was seen leaving the scene in a red pickup truck after taking several generators.

No further details have been released regarding the exact number or value of the stolen items. The case remains under investigation.
