Two men have been indicted in connection with a 2022 homicide that occurred during a burglary attempt in Warren County.
Cameron Kelly and Marcus Lee Jr. were both indicted by a Warren County grand jury on charges of murder and burglary of a dwelling related to the October 2022 incident on Blossom Lane.
Authorities say that Kelly, Lee, and another man, Cameron Jefferson, were searching for a 16-year-old at an apartment complex during the incident. According to Sheriff Martin Pace, as the group attempted to flee, Jefferson entered a running vehicle—apparently unaware the teenager was in the back seat.
The juvenile, reportedly armed, shot and killed Jefferson as the car sped off.
Now, Kelly and Lee are being held responsible for Jefferson’s death under felony murder charges, since it occurred during the commission of another felony — burglary.
The case remains under investigation.
