Callum English Jailed for Three Years in Cambridgeshire County Lines Operation
A drug dealer from Great Paxton has been sentenced to three years in prison following a major county lines operation in Cambridgeshire.
Callum English, 23, was arrested after a police raid on his home in Luddington Close on February 6. Authorities suspected English of running two county lines known as ‘Jay’ and ‘Mitch,’ which were used to distribute class A drugs. During the raid, officers found a sim card and two mobile phones in English’s bedroom, linking him to the drug lines.
His arrest was part of Operation Hypernova 2.0, a widespread initiative targeting county lines operations. The operation resulted in the dismantling of 51 drug lines, the charging of 33 individuals, and a total of 93 drug and human trafficking offences.
At Peterborough Crown Court on May 15, English pleaded guilty to two counts of being involved in the supply of class A drugs and activating a previous suspended sentence.
Detective Constable Jeremy Turner, who led the investigation, commented that English’s conviction was a part of ongoing efforts to disrupt county lines operations and protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation. He emphasized that Cambridgeshire was committed to making the area hostile to drug dealers and preventing further harm to the community.
This sentence is a significant step in the fight against organized drug crime in the county, sending a clear message that such illegal activities will not be tolerated.
