ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC (BTW21) — A routine traffic stop on July 28, 2025, led to the arrest of 30-year-old Caitlyn Nicole Beck after deputies discovered fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Narcotics Divisions pulled Beck over after observing her driving a vehicle with fictitious tags, no insurance, and a revoked license.
During the stop, authorities found approximately 1 gram of fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia, and determined that the vehicle was being used to maintain illegal substances.
Beck faces multiple charges, including:
Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
Misdemeanor Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances
Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving While License Revoked
Driving with Fictitious Tags & No Insurance
She was taken before a magistrate, issued a $55,000 secured bond, and booked into the Rockingham County Detention Facility. Her first court appearance is set for August 19, 2025, in Rockingham County District Court.
The DEA warns that just 1 gram of fentanyl can cause fatal overdoses for up to 500 people, highlighting the public safety importance of this seizure.
