NEW ORLEANS — A Roulette dealer at Caesars Casino, along with a casino patron, has been arrested following a theft investigation involving more than $10,000.
On April 8, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division launched an investigation into suspicious activity at the casino. According to authorities, 46-year-old Margaret Lake, a dealer at the casino, allowed 23-year-old Ahmod Junius to place late wagers on Roulette games— a violation that enabled the pair to steal large sums of money.
On April 11, troopers executed a search and arrest warrant at Junius’ home, taking him into custody. He was booked into the Orleans Justice Center on charges of theft between $5,000 and $25,000.
Lake was also arrested the same day at Caesars Casino and faces the same charge.
The Louisiana State Police confirmed the investigation is still ongoing.
