Byron Furman Lee Arrested for $90,000 Cattle Theft in Aiken County

Lee faces multiple theft charges related to stolen livestock

Aiken County, S.C. — March 9, 2025 – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has arrested 41-year-old Byron Furman Lee of Jackson, S.C., for his involvement in a series of cattle thefts totaling an estimated $90,000.

On March 6, deputies located and arrested Lee, who was facing warrants for the theft of cattle spanning from September to December 2024. Lee is accused of stealing livestock from multiple locations, with individual thefts ranging from $2,000 to over $10,000 in value.

One of the incidents involved the theft of 45 cows reported missing on January 23, 2025. Lee is also facing charges for driving under suspension and misuse of a license plate.

Lee is currently held at the Aiken County Detention Center as he faces charges for multiple theft incidents across Aiken County. The investigation remains ongoing.
