BUNA, Texas — A Buna man was arrested for allegedly stealing a company truck from STI Group, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The investigation began on January 3, 2026, after the Sheriff’s Office received a report that a truck had been stolen from STI Group earlier that morning. Using security camera footage and employee tips, authorities quickly identified persons of interest and tracked the vehicle.
On the evening of February 3, 2026, 35-year-old Christopher Hand of Buna was taken into custody in connection with the stolen truck. He faces charges of State Jail Felony Theft of Property valued between $2,500 and $30,000 and is currently held at the Jasper County Jail. Hand is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
