Maloya police arrested two individuals in separate cases on March 3:
Knife Possession Arrest
A 26-year-old man, Budh Ram alias Chhutka, was apprehended for allegedly carrying a long knife.
Incident Details: Around 6:40 pm, a police patrol stopped him for routine checking in Maloya.
During frisking, the knife was recovered and seized.
Legal Action: A case under the Arms Act was registered, and Budh Ram was remanded to judicial custody.
Criminal Record: Police confirmed he had a prior case registered at Maloya police station.
Assault Case Arrest
In a related incident, police registered an assault case based on a complaint from Pradeep of Dadumajra. He stated that he, his brother Nitesh, and friends were near the local dumping ground when four men — Bheema, Chhota, Kaka, and Rahul — blocked their path and assaulted them before fleeing.
Arrests: Police apprehended Rahul, who had also been booked in an attempted murder case in 2024.
Ongoing Search: Police are actively searching for the remaining accused — Bheema, Chhota, and Kaka.
