BROXTON, Ga. — A Broxton woman with a recent history of run-ins with law enforcement was arrested again after allegedly stealing merchandise worth $22.41 from the local Dollar General store.
On September 20, 2025, Broxton police responded to a shoplifting report at Dollar General. The store manager provided surveillance footage showing the suspect scanning several items, bagging them, and leaving without payment. The suspect was identified as Ashley Brooke Anthony, 30, a Broxton resident known to police from previous incidents.
Though Anthony had left the store before police arrived, she was arrested several days later on September 24 and charged with theft by taking. She was booked around 10:30 p.m. and later released on bond.
Earlier in July, Anthony was arrested on charges of misuse of 911 and obstruction of an officer following a dispute involving her neighbor, which she claimed raised her blood pressure.
