On Thursday, Hyderabad’s task force arrested three individuals for allegedly trafficking drugs at Necklace Road. The arrested men—brothers A Sai Sharath and A Shravan, both of whom run a local restaurant, and Rishab Srivastav—were found in possession of 11 grams of cocaine and 3.6 grams of MDMA.
According to police, Sharath, who had been battling depression, was introduced to drug peddler Rishab through his restaurant’s chef. The trio allegedly plotted to earn quick money by selling drugs. Sharath reportedly arranged for a cocaine delivery from Mumbai via courier.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the network involved in the illegal drug trade in the city. The arrests have brought attention to the growing issue of drug trafficking along popular areas like Necklace Road.
