LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of tires from the tire store where she worked.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, 28-year-old Brooklynn Proplesch was caught on surveillance footage stealing 13 Bridgestone tires over a four-day period from Walker Tire, located near 56th Street and Arbor Road.

The store owner reported a discrepancy in the inventory, prompting an internal investigation that led to the discovery of the theft.

Police say Proplesch stole the tires and sold them, with the total value estimated at nearly $7,700.

When officers arrived to question her, Proplesch allegedly fled in her car, but was later located near Van Dorn Park and taken into custody.

She was arrested on suspicion of felony theft and booked into custody.
