Whitfield County, Ga. – Brian Moree, a murder suspect, was arrested just hours after deputies say he fatally stabbed a woman late Monday night on Richardson Drive in Whitfield County.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene where they found the victim with a single stab wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say Moree fled the area on foot but was captured early Tuesday morning on Polly Road, just four hours after the incident.
Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the search and capture of Moree. Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce confirmed the arrest and stated that Moree has been charged with murder.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to piece together the details of the case.
