BOISE, Idaho — Brian Conway, 48, a former employee of the Nampa School District, was arrested in Nevada this week by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on multiple child sex crime charges.
Authorities reported Conway faces charges including using or permitting a minor under 14 to produce pornography, luring a child via computer for sexual acts, and possession of child pornography involving persons under 16. Detectives believe there may be additional victims due to Conway’s role as a teacher.
The Nampa School District stated that Conway voluntarily separated from his position last school year for reasons unrelated to the current allegations. The district emphasized that the safety and well-being of students remains a top priority, and that all schools comply with state and federal reporting requirements.
“Due to confidentiality protections and personnel privacy laws, we cannot disclose details regarding the circumstances of the employee’s departure,” the district added, confirming the separation was unrelated to the charges reported in the media.
