Brendan Arnold Arrested for Assault After Cape Girardeau Disturbance

Victim Sustained Minor Injuries in Late-Night Altercation

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A 25-year-old man from Scott City, Brendan Arnold, was arrested and charged with felony second-degree assault following a reported disturbance in Cape Girardeau late Thursday night, May 29.

Cape Girardeau police responded around midnight to the 0-100 block of North Main after receiving reports of a disturbance. Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses on the scene. While there, Arnold returned to the area and was promptly taken into custody.

Authorities confirmed that the victim sustained minor injuries and received medical attention. Arnold is currently being held on a $10,000 surety bond.
