Heflin man accused after February investigation

CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ala. — A Heflin man has been arrested following an investigation into alleged animal cruelty in the Edwardsville area, according to the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the suspect as Brandon Woody, who was taken into custody on March 19 in connection with an incident that occurred in February. Officials did not release specific details about the case but confirmed that a thorough investigation led to the arrest.

Woody was booked into the Cleburne County Jail and later released after posting bond.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and is asking anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
