Brandon Campbell Arrested for AT&T Theft Scheme in Salina

Employee Allegedly Stole Over $10,000 by Inflating Phone Prices

by Sophia Bennett

SALINA, Kan. (KWCH) — Salina police have arrested 30-year-old Brandon Campbell, an AT&T employee, for allegedly stealing over $10,000 through a fraudulent scheme involving inflated phone prices. The theft took place over a period of nearly two years, from March 2023 to February 2025.

AT&T corporate investigators contacted the Salina Police Department last week regarding suspicious activity at the store on Ninth Street. The investigation revealed that Campbell had been purchasing phones online, then bringing them into the store. Using another employee’s store login, he traded in the phones at inflated values, taking credit or cash for the price difference.

Campbell now faces charges of felony theft, false writing, and using a computer for unlawful purposes.
