MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Three men have been charged following a shooting incident on May 16 in the area of Lookout Point Place in Mooresville. Police are still searching for additional individuals involved.
The Mooresville Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire outside a residence. Witnesses stated that gunfire was exchanged between individuals in a Dodge Charger and people on foot.
As officers arrived, they spotted the Dodge Charger leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop. Two firearms were recovered from the vehicle, and the three male occupants were taken into custody.
The arrested suspects and their charges include:
Brandon Samir Adams, 18:
Discharging a firearm in city limits
Possession of marijuana
Ja’Cory Dashawn Kirkland, 19:
Discharging a firearm in city limits
Justin Smith Davidson, 20:
Discharging a firearm in city limits
Felony possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Additional charges are expected. Police are continuing to investigate and are actively searching for the individuals on foot who were involved in the exchange of gunfire.
