BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local man, 43-year-old Brady Trosper, is facing multiple charges in connection with a series of recent storage unit thefts in Bowling Green.
According to a police citation, officers from the Bowling Green Police Department were investigating a string of thefts reported earlier this week. Surveillance footage from one of the incidents led officers to identify a suspect resembling Trosper.
Further investigation revealed that Trosper had recently sold a stolen bicycle for $8,000. The bike was traced back to a residential garage theft.
When questioned, Trosper admitted to knowing about the bicycle but denied it was stolen. However, after being taken into custody, he claimed the bike had been given to him.
Trosper now faces several charges, including receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and receiving stolen property valued between $500 and $1,000.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may follow.
