ST. ALBANS, W.Va. — A 25-year-old man is in custody after allegedly committing two break-ins in St. Albans, including one at a Goodwill store and another at a Kanawha County Schools bus garage.
According to the St. Albans Police Department, Bradley Wayne Hoffman is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, as well as receiving/transferring stolen property and destruction of property.
Police say Hoffman first broke into the Goodwill on MacCorkle Avenue on July 2, stealing various items. Two days later, officers responded to a report of a stolen pickup truck and tools from a nearby school bus garage.
Authorities say Hoffman caused thousands of dollars in damage to the garage during the theft. Fortunately, the stolen truck and other items have since been recovered.
Hoffman is currently being held at the South Central Regional Jail as the investigation continues.
