Braden Scott Boner Arrested for Burglary and Credit Card Theft

Opelika police apprehend suspect after Walmart credit card use

Opelika police have arrested 21-year-old Braden Scott Boner of Cullman, Alabama, in connection with a burglary and stolen credit card case. The investigation began on December 15, 2024, when officers responded to a reported burglary at a home on the 100 Block of Gray Street around 8:51 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a broken rear window at the residence. The homeowners reported that one of their credit cards had been used at a nearby Walmart on Pepperell Parkway. Police quickly responded by dispatching additional units to the store.

Surveillance footage from Walmart showed a white male attempting to use the stolen credit card for several purchases. After further investigation, Boner was identified as the suspect.

On December 16, 2024, Boner was located and arrested on charges of Burglary in the Third Degree, Theft of Property in the First Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
