Bokaro police have arrested two individuals in connection with a jewellery fraud case targeting a woman from Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The accused allegedly posed as officials to dupe the victim of gold ornaments and cash.

The case was registered at Sector-4 Police Station on December 16 following a complaint by Anjali Sinha, a resident of Katrasgarh in Dhanbad. According to Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh, the incident occurred near a hotel in Sector-4, where one of the accused, Sankalp Kumar alias Golu, allegedly took gold jewellery and Rs 30,000 from the complainant under false pretences and fled.

During the investigation, melted gold weighing 22.72 grams was recovered from a jewellery shop in Fatuha, Patna. The shop owner, Suryakant Soni, was also taken into custody. Cash and mobile phones linked to the accused were recovered during raids conducted with technical support from Bokaro and Patna police teams.
