RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) — A Henderson man is in custody after authorities recovered dozens of firearms, body armor, drugs, and a stolen trailer during a Rusk County investigation.
Bobby Blake Prior, 37, was arrested on July 2 following a search by the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office that uncovered a total of 50 guns, including those unlawfully transferred between residences.
Deputies initially searched a home on the 1600 block of East Main Street, where 36 firearms were found. The investigation led them to another property on the 8100 block of County Road 334, where they discovered 14 additional firearms, body armor, suspected methamphetamine, and a stolen cargo trailer.
Prior was arrested on multiple warrants, including felony theft, unlawful possession of a firearm and body armor, and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held at the Rusk County Jail on a $55,000 bond.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
