by Sophia Bennett

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) and Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) have made several arrests following a coordinated investigation into controlled substance sales at ABC-licensed stores.

On September 11, BCSO’s Vice/Narcotics Unit and ALE conducted two traffic stops that resulted in the seizure of large amounts of cocaine.

In addition, ALE’s Special Operations Group (SOG) executed a search warrant in White Oak, where multiple narcotics, a firearm, and cash were confiscated.

As a result of the operation, the following individuals were charged:

Walter Owens, 42, of White Oak, was held on a $300,000 secured bond.

Rhiannon Nicole Potwin, 26, of Fayetteville, received a $1,000,000 secured bond.

Reginald Alan Greene, 35, of Fayetteville, was also charged and held on a $1,000,000 secured bond.

William Carter, 29, of Elizabethtown, received citations for simple possession charges.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected.
