Ajmer police have arrested BJP leader Rohit Saini for the alleged murder of his wife Sanju, which was orchestrated under the influence of his girlfriend, Ritu Saini. The crime occurred on August 10 and was initially disguised as a robbery to mislead the investigation.
Additional SP Rural Deepak Kumar confirmed the swift arrests, stating that the case was cracked within 24 hours. “We have also taken Rohit’s girlfriend, Ritu Saini, into custody,” he said.
Sanju was found dead under suspicious circumstances on August 10. Rohit initially told police that unknown robbers killed his wife and fled with valuables. However, inconsistencies in his story raised police suspicion. Following intense interrogation, Rohit confessed to the murder and revealed the conspiracy.
Investigations uncovered that Rohit was under pressure from Ritu, with whom he had a long-term relationship. Sanju was perceived as an obstacle, prompting Ritu to allegedly demand that Rohit “remove her from the way.” After killing Sanju, Rohit staged the scene as a robbery to cover up the crime.
Both Rohit Saini and Ritu Saini remain in custody as police continue their inquiry to gather further details.
