A 22-year-old youth, Bishal Bhujel alias Rahul, was arrested by Basistha Police in Guwahati after being found in possession of suspected heroin during an operation in the Khanapara area.
Police intercepted Bishal, a resident of Hastinapur, 9 Mile, and recovered 29 vials of heroin weighing approximately 39 grams. A mobile phone used in connection with the contraband was also seized.
The accused was taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated. Authorities are conducting further investigations to trace the source of the drugs and determine whether Bishal is part of a wider drug supply network in the region.
