Glover faces multiple charges after armed robbery, vehicle theft, and attempted murder in Hoover

HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) — 26-year-old Corey Lamont Glover of Birmingham was arrested on January 5, 2025, following an armed robbery and attempted murder at an apartment complex in Hoover.

The incident began around 4:30 p.m. at Lorna Place Apartments on Treeline Court when Glover allegedly held a victim at gunpoint, demanding their wallet. Several witnesses nearby observed the crime and pursued Glover to the nearby Place at Galleria apartments.

As the suspect attempted to flee, he reportedly stole a vehicle from another victim. During the escape, Glover fired a handgun at one of the witnesses who had been pursuing him, striking their vehicle.

Hoover police arrived at the scene, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The chase continued on I-65 North, ending when Glover crashed the vehicle on Oxmoor Road. He fled the vehicle on foot but was quickly apprehended by authorities.

Glover now faces several serious charges, including two counts of first-degree robbery, attempted murder, fleeing/attempting to elude, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He is being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
