Kaleb Wyman, a 19-year-old gang member from Birmingham, has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in a Class A drug dealing operation that supplied drugs from the West Midlands to Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Wyman was one of three individuals convicted following a proactive police operation last year. Alongside him, Brett Marshall, 43, and Louise Sanders, 45, both from Weston-super-Mare, also received prison sentences after admitting to drug supply offenses.
Police arrested Marshall on October 24 during a suspected drug deal in Manilla Crescent. Officers observed him entering a car briefly before leaving. A search of his home led to the discovery of Sanders and Wyman. During the search, Wyman was found with suspected Class A drugs, over £1,000 in cash, and a knuckle duster.
Investigations revealed the trio’s involvement in supplying Class A drugs, including cocaine and heroin, in the Weston-super-Mare area, with the narcotics originating from the West Midlands.
At Bristol Crown Court on May 1, Wyman pleaded guilty to two counts of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs, two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and one count of possession of an offensive weapon. He was also ordered to forfeit £1,189.90 believed to be proceeds from drug activity.
PC Tom Highton emphasized the impact of drugs on communities, stating, “Cocaine, heroin, and other illegal substances cause immense misery not only to users but to local communities as well.” He added that the convictions send a strong warning to others engaged in drug dealing.
Marshall was sentenced to two years after pleading guilty to two counts of involvement in Class A drug supply and ordered to forfeit £100. Sanders received a 16-month sentence after admitting to the same charges.
The police reaffirmed their commitment to tackling drug supply and urged the public to report related information to help combat such criminal activities.
