BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Two Binghamton residents, Pedro L. Masso-Diaz, 41, and Hailey J. Wells, were arrested Friday following a police search that uncovered firearms, drugs, and gang-related items, the Binghamton Police Department reported.
The operation, conducted by the Metro S.W.A.T. Team and Broome County Special Investigations Unit at 6 Grand Ave., led to multiple charges against both individuals.
Masso-Diaz faces:
Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree
Seven counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree
Criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree
Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fifth degrees
Three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree
Wells faces:
Four counts of criminal possession of a firearm
Three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree
Criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree
Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fifth degrees
Three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree
Police recovered five firearms, including a loaded .380 Ruger, a stolen .223 AR-15, and three illegally possessed handguns. High-capacity magazines, a small quantity of cocaine, 9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, $1,336 in cash, and drug packaging tools were also seized. Investigators additionally found materials linked to the Latin Kings street gang.
Both Masso-Diaz and Wells were transported to the Binghamton Police Department for processing and later taken to the Broome County Jail.
