In a significant narcotics crackdown, the Bihar STF, in collaboration with Kishanganj police, arrested Balram Chaurasia, a resident of Shivrampur Rajpur in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, along with his female accomplice Lalita Devi, wife of Naresh Paswan from Sirisiya, Muzaffarpur.
The arrests were made in the Kishanganj police station area, and authorities recovered 1 kg of heroin valued at Rs 60 lakh from the duo.
Police reported that the accused were involved in interstate drug smuggling, transporting high-value narcotics across state borders. Investigations are ongoing to trace their networks and possible buyers in the region.
