PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (WOIO) — A 33-year-old Cleveland Heights woman, Bianca Peake, was arrested on Thursday after security camera footage led to her capture in connection with multiple car break-ins and credit card thefts in Pepper Pike.
According to the Pepper Pike Police Department, on March 13, officers received several reports of thefts from vehicles overnight on Bolingbrook Road, Kersdale Road, and Belcourt Road. Investigators utilized security camera footage from local residents, which helped identify Peake as the suspect.
The investigation revealed that Peake had used the stolen credit cards at multiple stores. Police also discovered she was likely staying at the Extended Suites Hotel on Orange Place.
On Thursday, officers from Pepper Pike and Orange Village executed a search warrant at the hotel, where they arrested Peake. She was booked into Beachwood Jail and charged with breaking and entering, theft, and misuse of credit cards. Additional charges from Orange Village Police may follow.
The Pepper Pike Police Department commended the use of security cameras, stating, “Those cameras are such a cost-effective way to combat crime and assist us with investigations.”
Peake remains in custody as the investigation continues.
