Bhojpur Police Nab 4 in Rs2.5 Lakh Ganja Trafficking Case

30.5 kg cannabis seized; case filed under NDPS Act

Bhojpur, October 11, 2025 – Acting on a tip-off, a special team from Bhojpur Police, led by Gajrajganj OP SHO Hari Prasad Sharma, arrested four suspected drug peddlers on Friday and seized 30.5 kg of cannabis (ganja) valued at around Rs2.5 lakh.

The accused were apprehended during a vehicle check operation, and police confiscated a car used for drug transportation, Rs2,700 in cash, and four mobile phones.

Arrested Individuals:

Ankit Raj – resident of Saran district

Dheeraj Kumar Singh – from Bhojpur

Raju Kumar Rai – from Bhojpur

Abhimanyu alias Kunkun Singh – from Bhojpur

A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Gajrajganj outpost (OP), and further investigation is underway to trace the source and intended receivers of the contraband.

Authorities praised the swift action of the police team and reiterated their commitment to crack down on drug trafficking across the region.
