In a significant breakthrough, Bhojpur police have arrested a drug peddler, Siddhnath Kumar, for possessing 123.11 kg of ganja, valued at approximately Rs 8 lakh. The arrest was made under the Jagdishpur police station area on Tuesday, following a tip-off.
The accused, Siddhnath Kumar, a resident of Hatpokhar village, was apprehended with several items of interest. In addition to the large quantity of ganja, police also seized Rs 1.19 lakh in cash, an electric weighing machine, and a cellphone.
This arrest is part of Bhojpur’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region, with local law enforcement working to ensure that illegal substances are intercepted before they reach the streets. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover potential connections and larger smuggling networks involved in the illegal drug trade.
