Bharat Pandit & Shakti Prasad Karan Arrested in Gandamunda Burglary

Rs 2.12 Lakh Cash, Cigarettes Recovered After Burglary at Nayapalli

In a significant breakthrough, Nayapalli Police arrested Bharat Pandit alias Kuna and Shakti Prasad Karan in connection with a high-profile burglary at Gandamunda Square. The duo is accused of stealing Rs 2,12,000 in cash, cigarettes worth Rs 2,00,000, and other valuable items from a shop owned by Suchismita Rajput.

The burglars reportedly gained entry by cutting through the shop’s asbestos sheets. Following a raid on March 28, the police seized an auto-rickshaw, crowbars, face masks, and Rs 40,000 in stolen cash. In addition to the cash, various contraband items such as cigarettes and gutka packets were also recovered.

Both accused have a history of criminal activity and are linked to several prior cases across multiple police stations. The Commissionerate Police have confirmed that further investigations are ongoing as they work towards bringing the case to a logical conclusion.
