The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) filed a chargesheet on Monday in connection with the high-profile rave party drug bust that took place at a farmhouse near Electronics City on May 15. The chargesheet, running over 1,000 pages, identifies 88 accused individuals, including actress Hema Krishnaveni (known as Hema), who was arrested after testing positive for MDMA consumption. The case has captured widespread attention, with several Telugu film industry figures allegedly involved.
The rave party was organized by event planner Vasu L at GR Forms in Singena Agrahara, Bengaluru, in celebration of his birthday and the anniversary of his event management company. These individuals have been charged with organizing the party and trafficking in illegal drugs. Hema Krishnaveni, along with 79 others, has been booked under the NDPS Act Section 27(b) for drug consumption. The actress initially denied drug consumption but was later arrested after her medical report confirmed the presence of MDMA in her system.
The police seized a significant quantity of narcotics, including MDMA pills, MDMA crystal, six grams of hydro cannabis, five grams of cocaine, six kilograms of hydro ganja, and other drug paraphernalia such as five mobile phones, a Volkswagen car, a Land Rover, and DJ equipment. The police also found a used MLA sticker on an SUV belonging to Arun, which was expired. Arun claimed that his deceased driver had purchased the sticker, but authorities have ruled out any political involvement in the case.
