A couple from Bengaluru has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of 15-year-old Sunaina, whose body was discovered in a suitcase near Sankari on the Salem-Coimbatore National Highway.
The victim’s identity was confirmed a month after the body was found on September 30, 2024. Following an intensive month-long investigation, police arrested K. Abineshsagu (40) and A. Aswinpattil (37), residents of Bhaganapalli near Panathu in Bengaluru.
The police launched a thorough investigation after Sunaina’s body was discovered, leading to the arrests of the couple. The authorities are continuing their inquiry into the motive behind the tragic crime.
