Bengaluru: A police inspector from Konanakunte, Bengaluru, has been accused of harassing rowdy-sheeter Yashaswini Gowda, popularly known as the “Lady Don.” Gowda submitted a complaint along with chat records to senior police officials after allegedly receiving inappropriate messages.
The messages, which have gone viral, reportedly show the inspector addressing Gowda in an informal tone, asking her to call him “Paapu” instead of “sir,” and sending texts such as “I love you” and “you are very sexy.” Gowda alleged the inspector frequently called her morning and evening, questioning why she did not respond, and even expressed a desire to visit her house.
Gowda said past complaints to senior officials were dismissed, and she has previously faced false cases, including under the Goonda Act. She claimed the harassment has continued in recent months despite her attempts to report it.
Her lawyer, Naresh, criticized the officer’s conduct, noting that he used terms like “dear,” “darling,” and “Yashu” in the messages. He questioned the tolerance of such behaviour in the police force and alleged misuse of public resources.
The Bengaluru police have not yet issued a response to the allegations.
