BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio — On the evening of June 27, a coordinated law enforcement operation led to multiple arrests related to narcotics trafficking in Bellefontaine.

After several months of investigation, officers and detectives from the Bellefontaine Police Department, working alongside deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, served several narcotics-related search warrants within the city.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., warrants were executed at 417 East Auburn Avenue, the home of Brian C. Mees. Officers seized evidence of drug trafficking and arrested three individuals: Mees, De’Andre L. Tucker, and Chase M. Whiting. During the raid, Whiting tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by K9 Pyro and his handler, Officer Hostetler. Whiting received medical treatment at Mary Rutan Hospital for injuries sustained from the police dog before being booked into Logan County Jail.

Later, law enforcement served additional search warrants at 417 ½ North Detroit Street, the residence of Jeffrey C. Clark, Tonja M. Parsley, and Timothy E. Clark. Narcotics evidence was also recovered at this location, leading to the arrest of Clark, Parsley, Timothy Clark, and Roscelle Clark. All four were lodged at the Logan County Jail on narcotics charges.

No officers or deputies were injured during the operations.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities warn that further charges may be forthcoming.
