A 21-year-old Alberta man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his twin brother following a domestic argument.
Police responded to a stabbing report at a Lethbridge home on Saturday, just before 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 21, with multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition but has since been released and is recovering.
The suspect, Bayley Nathaniel Minoose, 21, of Cardston, was arrested at the scene without incident. Authorities also seized a knife believed to have been used in the attack.
Investigators determined that the brothers’ argument escalated into a physical altercation. Evidence suggests Minoose stabbed his twin several times, reportedly believing he had killed him.
Minoose is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
