Baltimore Man Arrested in Severn After Police Find Drugs During Traffic Stop

SEVERN, MD – A Baltimore man, Larry Joseph Mason, 40, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Severn after Anne Arundel County police officers discovered suspected drugs during a traffic stop.

Around 2:40 p.m., police stopped a red Chrysler 300 at the intersection of Pioneer Drive and Reece Road. A search of the vehicle, based on probable cause, led to the discovery of 80 suspected Ecstasy pills, about 16 vials of suspected cocaine, and 15 vials of suspected marijuana.

Mason was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not classified as cannabis and two counts of possession with intent to distribute. He is currently being held without bond.

Authorities continue to investigate the case.
