Bagalkot Police Arrest Gang for Rs 6.1 Lakh Gold Theft

Five accused, including two women, caught in house burglaries

Bagalkot, Karnataka: The district police have apprehended a gang of five people, including two women, in connection with multiple house thefts in Bagalkot and Gadag districts.

The arrested were identified as Shankar Pawar (20), Abhi Bosle (19), Laxmi Bosle (40), Karan Pawar (20), and Mamata Bosle (21), all residents of Mangarul Tanda, Parbani district, Maharashtra.

Investigations revealed that the gang worked in sugarcane fields during the day and executed burglaries at night, wearing jackets and masks, carrying torches and rods to raid homes. While the men committed the thefts, the women reportedly sold the stolen gold jewellery.

Police recovered gold jewellery worth Rs 6.1 lakh and confirmed the gang’s involvement in six house theft cases across the two districts.
