In a swift night patrol operation, the Sadar Dy SP Raj Kishore Singh reported that police arrested seven individuals involved in a theft case and recovered seven stolen laptops, a power inverter, and a battery.
The arrests took place on Monday night in the Town Police Station area. The breakthrough began when police detained a suspicious person identified as Babar Khan, son of Munna Khan and a resident of Dahiyawan, during a routine patrol. On interrogation, Babar confessed to stealing a power inverter from a local coaching institute.
Further questioning revealed that Babar wasn’t alone. His accomplices included Md Habib alias Dewar, Nabi Hussain alias Munnu, and Md Mushtaq. Together, they stole a total of nine laptops and a battery from the institute.
Babar admitted that seven of the laptops and one battery had already been sold to different individuals. The investigation is ongoing to trace the remaining stolen items and identify the buyers.
Police commend the patrolling team for their vigilance and timely action that led to multiple arrests and recovery of stolen goods.
