In a successful crackdown on an interstate theft ring, Lesliganj police in Palamu district have arrested two individuals and recovered a substantial haul of stolen property. The accused have been identified as Awla Durga Prasad (27) of Andhra Pradesh and his relative Awla Balram (25) from Odisha.

Both were taken into custody following an investigation into a recent theft incident. During the arrest, police recovered:

135 grams of gold

1,150 grams of silver

Two mobile phones

A motorbike with Andhra Pradesh registration

The recovery suggests the duo was involved in planned property theft, with potential connections across state lines.

Police confirmed that further interrogation is underway to determine their involvement in other unsolved cases and whether a larger network is operating in the region.

The successful operation highlights the coordination between intelligence units and field teams in tracking down suspects with links across multiple states.
