ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — A Daleville man, Austin Petty, 25, and Fortville woman, Katelyn Powell, 24, were arrested on multiple drug and public indecency charges after police found them nude underneath a train trestle in Alexandria.
Officers responded on May 30 to a vacant lot off North State Road 9, where they discovered Petty’s pickup truck containing an open beer container and several firearms. Nearby, Petty and Powell were located “completely nude” under the trestle, reportedly having sex following an argument.
Court documents reveal Petty faces one count of dealing cocaine (Level 2 felony), possession of a narcotic (Level 6 felony), and misdemeanor public indecency. Powell is charged with dealing cocaine (Level 3 felony), possession of narcotics (Level 6 felony), possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession, and public indecency misdemeanors.
Police found marijuana and methamphetamine in Powell’s purse and nearly 10 grams of cocaine on Petty. Petty admitted buying cocaine for $800 that day but denied selling, stating he shared and used cocaine with Powell and friends. Powell acknowledged using and sometimes selling drugs, supported by texts and videos showing drug use during sex.
Both have bonds set at $75,000 and face pending court dates.
