AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn police, with help from the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the ATF, arrested two men in connection with a March 2 shooting on Shelton Mill Road.
Elijah Paul Wilson, 38, and Jordan Levi Blalock, 34, both of Auburn, were charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery, and possession of a short-barreled rifle/shotgun. The men were taken to Lee County Jail and are being held without bond.
The investigation began after officers responded to a report of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Shelton Mill Road around 2:18 p.m. on March 2. A male victim was found with a gunshot wound and transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment.
As a precaution, nearby schools were temporarily placed in a secure state. Investigators confirmed the victim and suspects knew each other, and the incident was not random.
Detectives executed multiple search warrants at two residences in Auburn and a business on the 1600 block of Lee Road 10. Officers, assisted by the U.S. Marshals and ATF, recovered items of evidentiary value. Additional analysis and investigative actions are ongoing.
A third suspect, Melvin Sabas Alexander Hernandez Davila, remains wanted on warrants for attempted murder and first-degree robbery. Hernandez Davila, who sometimes goes by “Alex,” is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities urge anyone who spots him to call 911 and not approach him.
