Assumption Parish Man Arrested for July 2025 Off-Road Vehicle Theft

Tony Foret turns himself in months after theft investigation

NAPOLEONVILLE, La. — Deputies in Assumption Parish arrested a man months after a stolen off-road vehicle was reported in July 2025.

The investigation began on July 14, 2025, when a local farm manager reported an off-road vehicle stolen near Paincourtville. Authorities arrested 31-year-old Jason Michael Arceneaux at his home on Joe Dugas Road on July 16 in connection with the theft.

Another suspect, 39-year-old Tony Foret of Houma, evaded authorities for several months. On Monday, Foret turned himself in and was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on theft of a motor vehicle charges. He remains held on a $15,000 bond.

The stolen off-road vehicle was later recovered in Lafourche Parish.

Authorities continue to investigate the case to determine any further involvement or related offenses.
