MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. — Two adults and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a string of four-wheeler thefts across Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Authorities have recovered seven stolen vehicles valued at approximately $40,000.
Following a multi-day investigation by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, 22-year-old Arkel Bell of Chase City and 20-year-old Daniel Scott Alexander of Boydton were each charged with grand larceny. Two juveniles, whose names have not been released, are also expected to face charges.
Between July 23 and July 26, several reports of stolen or intentionally damaged property led investigators to uncover the ATV theft ring. Deputies successfully located and recovered seven four-wheelers, while the search continues for six dirt bikes and three racing-style four-wheelers that remain missing.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may follow as they work to locate the remaining stolen vehicles.
