SHKODËR, Albania (A2 CNN) — Today in the Court of First Instance in Shkodër, two brothers, Arjon and Klisman Hasaj, will face charges for the recent murder of 33-year-old Ramazan Mataj in the village of Dragoç. The court session will focus on informing the brothers of the security measure regarding the murder charges.
Both Arjon and Klisman Hasaj have arrived at the court for the hearing. It is expected that today, the brothers will be made aware of the legal proceedings related to the murder of Mataj.
Earlier, the police confirmed the arrest of the Hasaj brothers, and after interrogations and gathering testimonies from several individuals, they claimed to have solved the case. According to police sources, Arjon Hasaj confessed to committing the murder alone, without the involvement of his brother. He explained that the murder was prompted by a personal conflict, as Mataj had been in a six-year relationship with their sister, which led to the breakdown of two of her marriages.
